Khorshid Village is a residential development in Karaj consisting of ten independent villas on a site of approximately 9,700 square meters. The central challenge was to create the experience of an individual home within a shared development, allowing each villa to benefit from generous outdoor areas while minimizing visual intrusion from neighbouring units. Positioning the buildings toward the rear of each plot and carefully controlling the direction of openings establishes this privacy while preserving a substantial portion of each property for outdoor living.

At the center of each villa is a small planted courtyard organized around a single tree. The entrance, double-height living space, and staircase are directly connected to this internal garden, while most interior spaces open both toward the courtyard and the surrounding landscape. Daylight and vegetation therefore enter the house not only from its perimeter but also from within, turning the central courtyard into a constant presence in everyday domestic life.

On the ground floor, the shared living spaces are positioned between two outdoor environments: the main garden and seating area on one side and the pool on the other. During suitable seasons, the boundaries can open almost entirely, allowing the kitchen, living room, and reception spaces to extend outward. Khorshid Village seeks to create a collection of homes through a simple and economical architectural system in which daylight, privacy, and a close relationship with nature remain central to everyday life.
